Withdrawal and Refund Policy

This policy explains the consumer withdrawal period for distance purchases, the narrow exception for digital content delivered immediately, and statutory remedies that remain available.

1. The 14-day withdrawal right

If you are a consumer buying at a distance in Portugal or elsewhere in the EU, you generally have 14 days to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason. For a digital-content purchase, the period normally starts on the day the contract is concluded. Other contract types can have a different start date under the applicable rules.

To exercise the right, send a clear statement that you are withdrawing to david@portugaltaxintelligence.com within the applicable period. You may use any clear wording. Include an order reference if available; it helps identify the purchase but is not a special form required by this policy.

2. Immediate digital content

The withdrawal right for digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium is lost only after performance has begun and all of the following legal requirements have been met for that purchase:

  1. You gave prior express consent for delivery to begin during the withdrawal period.
  2. You explicitly acknowledged that, once performance begins, you will lose the right of withdrawal for that digital content.
  3. The seller provided the legally required confirmation of the contract, including your consent and acknowledgment, on a durable medium.

A purchase is not treated as having lost its withdrawal right under this exception unless those requirements were met and delivery has begun. Linking to an external checkout does not establish that the checkout obtains the required statements or sends the required confirmation. Check the information and confirmation provided for your own order.

3. Reimbursement after withdrawal

Where withdrawal is valid, the seller must reimburse payments in accordance with applicable law. For a standard withdrawal, reimbursement is generally due without undue delay and within 14 days after the seller is informed, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise. Any order-specific process shown by the seller applies alongside mandatory consumer law.

4. Digital-content conformity rights

Losing a withdrawal right under the immediate-delivery exception does not remove your statutory rights if digital content is not supplied or does not conform to the contract. You may have rights to bring the content into conformity, a proportionate price reduction, or termination and reimbursement under the applicable rules. These remedies are independent of the withdrawal period.

No blanket “no refunds” rule is intended. No additional voluntary refund promise or business-specific refund workflow has been established in the information available for this site.

5. How to contact us

Send a withdrawal or refund request to david@portugaltaxintelligence.com. Include your order reference and the seller shown in the checkout or confirmation if available. The site does not have an order-management screen, so this policy does not promise a particular response time or an order-status workflow.
